Distilleries & Rhumeries in Basse-Terre
The Bologna Distillery is the oldest distillery on the island (1887). It is located at the foot of the Soufrière in Basse-Terre. Its shop has been renovated for less than a year in order to welcome customers in a very elegant setting.
Brand born from the collaboration between Grégoire Hayot and François Longueteau, the "Karukera" rum is produced on the Domaine de Longueteau and refined by the company "Le Marquisat de Sainte-Marie" in Capesterre Belle-Eau.
The Longueteau Distillery was founded in 1895 by Henri Longueteau and is located in Capesterre Belle-Eau at the Domaine de l'Espérance (Bélair). It was modernized from 2005 to become one of the market leaders.
